Davis nationally recognized for academics, community engagement

On Feb. 2, the State Board of Education recognized Royse City ISD’s Davis Elementary School for earning the U.S. Department of Education’s title as a National Blue Ribbon School.

The school earned the honor through its consistent emphasis on staff and student improvement and fostering a supportive and positive culture.

Davis Elementary was one of 352 schools nationwide and 29 statewide to receive the honor.

“Davis Elementary is a family,” Davis principal Rachel Camp said. “As the longest standing elementary school in the district, we have an amazing history. Generations of families have memories that tie back to our school and our staff.”
