Amazon is planning to hire as many as 3,000 seasonal workers in the Austin area, as the e-commerce giant ramps up for the holiday season, the company announced Monday.
The roles are in a range of positions including stowing, picking, packing and shipping. The jobs have an average starting pay of $18 per hour and may include sign-on bonuses of up to $3,000. The company said some of the jobs have the potential to lead to permanent positions.
