Austin Metro Ranks NO. 1 In Sustainability For US, South Central Region

AUSTIN — The Austin-Round Rock-Georgetown, Texas, metro is No. 1 in the South Central Region and No. 1 in the nation for sustainability, according to new rankings released this week by Site Selection magazine.
Four other Texas cities made the Top 10 for the South Central Region, and three more ranked in the Top 10 nationwide. Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington ranked No. 2, and Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land ranked No. 8 on the national list. In the South Central Region, Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington was ranked No. 2; Houston-The Woodlands-Sugar Land is No. 3; San Antonio-New Braunfels is No. 5; and Waco is No. 8.
