Bring your resume to the Royse City, Texas, Holiday Job Fair on December 3, from 1-4 p.m. at the High Point Assembly of God Church, 880 Erby Campbell Boulevard! Sponsored by Royse City Community Development Corporation, Chamber of Commerce, Main Street, and Independent School District, the Job Fair’s goal is to match job seekers with high-quality Royse City job openings. It is designed to be a one-stop-for-success event for those looking to join or rejoin the workforce for extra holiday cash or even looking to launch a new career. Door prizes, light snacks, and water are planned.

“As a Community Development Corporation, one of our roles is to connect employees and employers,” said Charles Houk, executive director, Royse City CDC. “We feel it’s important to make this connection as easy as possible. In collaboration with our important local partners, we’ve been able to coordinate 20+ local companies looking for talent to hire through the holidays and beyond. The job fair is a great opportunity for those looking to earn a little extra holiday money and maybe find a new career in the process. Hopefully, together we can help employers meet their staffing needs while helping the community find these open positions.  We have so many great businesses in Royse City and want to do everything we can to ensure their success.”

According to Business Insider, as the holidays approach, companies are betting on the U.S. looking much more like 2019 than early 2021. Experts indicate the supply chain “peak pinch” is behind us, and companies are hiring as such, expecting a return to pre-crisis shopping trends.

Businesses at the Job Fair will include local restaurants and retailers as well as a plumbing company, learning centers, the City of Royse, and the school district.

“For some time now, many employers have been in need of employees, here and throughout the Metroplex,” said Tonya Brown, administrative assistant, Royse City CDC. “The holiday season adds an increased need.  We feel it is important to help our local businesses get through this busy time by doing what we can to help promote their success and the economic success of Royse City. From the smallest mom-and-pop shop to the largest employer, all our local businesses are important to us. They are all a vital part of our community.”
